Team Member: Laura Burgess
I graduated from De Montfort University in 2003 with a BEd Honours Degree in Physical Education and English. I began teaching at Stanground Sports College in 2003 and within the PE Department have held roles such as GCSE Short Course Leader as well as acting Deputy Head of Physical Education. I hold a particular interest Gymnastics and Trampolining in which I have lead teams to great success. I have also played an active role in leading Key Stage Three netball teams to win the Peterborough League. In 2006 I began my role as Deputy Partnership Development Manager for the Peterborough School Sports Partnership; it was an exciting new challenge. At present, I work for the Partnership for 2 days a week and for the PE Department for 1 day a week; I enjoy the variation that both roles have to offer. It is great to be both part of a Sports College as well as a thriving Partnership.
